Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Healthcare, Travel and Household sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite declined 0.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Select Textile (AT:EPIr), which rose 4.29% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.243 at the close. Profile Syst (AT:PRFr) added 2.50% or 0.020 points to end at 0.820 and Titan Cement Company SA (AT:TTNr) was up 1.89% or 0.440 points to 23.740 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr), which lost 4.48% or 0.0600 points to trade at 1.2800 in late trade. Autohellas (AT:AUTr) declined 3.38% or 0.78 points to end at 22.32 and Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr) shed 2.86% or 0.009 points to 0.306.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 57 to 36 and 19 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.48% or 6.26 to $1298.26 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.57% or 0.27 to hit $47.70 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.46% or 0.24 to trade at $52.28 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.64% to 1.1876, while EUR/GBP rose 0.02% to 0.9220.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.58% at 92.69.
