Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financials, Industrials and Construction sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite rose 1.63%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Gek Terna (AT:HRMr), which rose 9.11% or 0.440 points to trade at 5.270 at the close. European Reliance General Insurance Co SA (AT:EREr) added 5.79% or 0.190 points to end at 3.460 and Mytilineos Holdings SA (AT:MYTr) was up 5.30% or 0.410 points to 8.140 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Intralot (AT:INLr), which lost 2.31% or 0.017 points to trade at 0.718 in late trade. Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr) declined 1.92% or 0.0018 points to end at 0.0918 and Elliniki Technodomiki Anemos SA (AT:ANEMr) shed 1.77% or 0.035 points to 1.945.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 78 to 27 and 14 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.61% or 7.40 to $1195.90 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.04% or 0.03 to hit $67.89 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.07% or 0.05 to trade at $74.83 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.22% to 1.1570, while EUR/GBP rose 0.42% to 0.9020.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.37% at 95.35.
