Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Telecoms, Banking and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite rose 0.82%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Lamda Develop (AT:LMDr), which rose 5.76% or 0.370 points to trade at 6.790 at the close. Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr) added 5.04% or 0.095 points to end at 1.980 and Profile Syst (AT:PRFr) was up 3.78% or 0.037 points to 1.015 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Autohellas (AT:AUTr), which lost 1.65% or 0.40 points to trade at 23.80 in late trade. Viohalco SA (AT:VIOH) declined 1.60% or 0.055 points to end at 3.390 and ThesKi Port (AT:OLTr) shed 1.41% or 0.40 points to 28.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 86 to 33 and 10 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.06% or 0.80 to $1322.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 1.73% or 1.04 to hit $61.16 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 1.68% or 1.07 to trade at $64.68 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.13% to 1.2327, while EUR/GBP fell 0.33% to 0.8887.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 90.01.
