Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Banking, Financials and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite added 0.74%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Attica Bank SA (AT:BOAr), which rose 4.95% or 0.002 points to trade at 0.032 at the close. Centric Hold (AT:DESr) added 4.32% or 0.007 points to end at 0.169 and Marfin Invest (AT:MRFr) was up 3.71% or 0.005 points to 0.151 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr), which lost 4.00% or 0.025 points to trade at 0.600 in late trade. Motor Oil Hellas Corinth Refineries SA (AT:MORr) declined 2.09% or 0.39 points to end at 18.23 and Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr) shed 1.30% or 0.0030 points to 0.2270.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 86 to 31 and 12 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.07% or 0.90 to $1331.20 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 1.30% or 0.80 to hit $62.48 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 0.89% or 0.58 to trade at $66.00 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.29% to 1.2319, while EUR/GBP rose 0.12% to 0.8837.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.30% at 89.76.
