Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Chemicals, Financials and Banking sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite rose 0.63%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Lamda Develop (AT:LMDr), which rose 6.32% or 0.410 points to trade at 6.900 at the close. Centric Hold (AT:DESr) added 6.25% or 0.009 points to end at 0.153 and Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr) was up 5.59% or 0.0450 points to 0.8500 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Attica Bank SA (AT:BOAr), which lost 14.92% or 0.006 points to trade at 0.036 in late trade. Hygeia (AT:HYGr) declined 7.27% or 0.044 points to end at 0.561 and Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr) shed 5.00% or 0.030 points to 0.570.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 64 to 44 and 18 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.65% or 8.40 to $1305.60 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.40% or 0.24 to hit $60.08 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 0.42% or 0.28 to trade at $66.44 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.57% to 1.2010, while EUR/GBP fell 0.07% to 0.8883.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.48% at 91.90.
