Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Financials and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite rose 0.58%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Profile Syst (AT:PRFr), which rose 9.66% or 0.140 points to trade at 1.590 at the close. Intracom Hold (AT:INRr) added 8.89% or 0.064 points to end at 0.784 and Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr) was up 4.67% or 0.100 points to 2.240 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Folli Follie (AT:HDFr), which lost 8.59% or 0.78 points to trade at 8.30 in late trade. Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr) declined 5.50% or 0.023 points to end at 0.395 and Korres (AT:KRRr) shed 3.41% or 0.180 points to 5.080.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 77 to 37 and 12 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.03% or 0.40 to $1322.70 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.07% or 0.05 to hit $71.31 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 0.04% or 0.03 to trade at $77.44 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.24% to 1.1944, while EUR/GBP rose 0.01% to 0.8813.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 92.41.
