Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Healthcare, Construction and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite added 0.57%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Attica Bank SA (AT:BOAr), which rose 7.27% or 0.004 points to trade at 0.059 at the close. Halcor (AT:XAKO) added 3.42% or 0.040 points to end at 1.210 and Marfin Invest (AT:MRFr) was up 3.12% or 0.003 points to 0.099 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr), which lost 10.16% or 0.052 points to trade at 0.450 in late trade. Select Textile (AT:EPIr) declined 9.13% or 0.020 points to end at 0.199 and Creta Plastics (AT:PLAKR) shed 4.92% or 0.300 points to 5.800.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 67 to 41 and 9 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.15% or 1.98 to $1306.58 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.54% or 0.28 to hit $51.73 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.98% or 0.56 to trade at $57.73 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.08% to 1.1812, while EUR/GBP fell 0.03% to 0.8895.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 92.98.
