Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Construction, Food and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite added 0.45% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Sarantiseg (AT:SRSr), which rose 8.75% or 1.15 points to trade at 14.30 at the close. Elliniki Technodomiki Anemos SA (AT:ANEMr) added 7.52% or 0.120 points to end at 1.715 and Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr) was up 7.31% or 0.019 points to 0.279 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Attica Bank SA (AT:BOAr), which lost 4.11% or 0.002 points to trade at 0.035 in late trade. Centric Hold (AT:DESr) declined 2.67% or 0.004 points to end at 0.146 and Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr) shed 2.43% or 0.0050 points to 0.2010.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 82 to 31 and 17 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.10% or 1.30 to $1320.30 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 1.32% or 0.82 to hit $61.19 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 0.93% or 0.63 to trade at $67.44 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.25% to 1.2037, while EUR/GBP fell 0.36% to 0.8875.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 91.72.
