Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Basic Resources, Banking and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite rose 0.39%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr), which rose 29.94% or 0.144 points to trade at 0.625 at the close. Select Textile (AT:EPIr) added 8.00% or 0.014 points to end at 0.189 and Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr) was up 4.89% or 0.011 points to 0.236 in late trade.
Biggest losers included AS Company SA (AT:ASCr), which lost 6.92% or 0.110 points to trade at 1.480 in late trade. Autohellas (AT:AUTr) declined 2.72% or 0.64 points to end at 22.80 and Profile Syst (AT:PRFr) shed 2.19% or 0.014 points to 0.624.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 64 to 38 and 11 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.35% or 4.49 to $1274.51 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.38% or 0.20 to hit $52.38 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.26% or 0.15 to trade at $58.59 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.97% to 1.1697, while EUR/GBP fell 0.34% to 0.8878.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.80% at 94.28.
