Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Telecoms and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite added 0.24%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Motor Oil Hellas Corinth Refineries SA (AT:MORr), which rose 2.56% or 0.48 points to trade at 19.20 at the close. Quest Holdings (AT:IQTr) added 2.32% or 0.190 points to end at 8.370 and Hellenic Telec (AT:OTEr) was up 1.89% or 0.20 points to 10.78 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Iaso (AT:IASr), which lost 3.37% or 0.028 points to trade at 0.802 in late trade. Select Textile (AT:EPIr) declined 1.82% or 0.005 points to end at 0.270 and Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr) shed 1.68% or 0.0040 points to 0.2340.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 51 to 45 and 18 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.39% or 5.09 to $1296.69 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.25% or 0.61 to hit $48.05 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 1.59% or 0.84 to trade at $51.88 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.48% to 1.1817, while EUR/GBP rose 0.28% to 0.9159.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.41% at 92.98.
