Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Industrials, Healthcare and Travel sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite added 0.21%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr), which rose 8.59% or 0.1100 points to trade at 1.3900 at the close. Viohalco SA (AT:VIOH) added 8.52% or 0.270 points to end at 3.440 and Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr) was up 7.19% or 0.022 points to 0.328 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Korres (AT:KRRr), which lost 3.30% or 0.150 points to trade at 4.400 in late trade. Profile Syst (AT:PRFr) declined 2.44% or 0.020 points to end at 0.800 and Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr) shed 2.20% or 0.1000 points to 4.4500.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 58 to 46 and 13 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.06% or 13.77 to $1311.67 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.61% or 1.25 to hit $46.62 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 1.25% or 0.65 to trade at $51.33 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.30% to 1.1961, while EUR/GBP rose 0.01% to 0.9258.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 92.25.
