Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking, Retail and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite added 0.20%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which rose 6.90% or 0.0100 points to trade at 0.1550 at the close. Alpha Bank SA (AT:ACBr) added 5.44% or 0.080 points to end at 1.550 and Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr) was up 3.65% or 0.021 points to 0.596 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr), which lost 8.47% or 0.5000 points to trade at 5.4000 in late trade. Jumbo SA (AT:BABr) declined 4.63% or 0.640 points to end at 13.170 and Autohellas (AT:AUTr) shed 3.40% or 0.80 points to 23.90.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 56 to 47 and 13 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.06% or 0.80 to $1293.60 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.40% or 0.23 to hit $57.88 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 0.41% or 0.26 to trade at $63.12 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.23% to 1.1871, while EUR/GBP rose 0.47% to 0.8974.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.31% at 93.14.
