Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Technology and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite rose 0.14%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr), which rose 6.58% or 0.2900 points to trade at 4.7000 at the close. Athens Medical (AT:AMCr) added 3.33% or 0.050 points to end at 1.520 and Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr) was up 2.36% or 0.021 points to 0.911 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Centric Hold (AT:DESr), which lost 5.29% or 0.009 points to trade at 0.161 in late trade. Autohellas (AT:AUTr) declined 1.82% or 0.41 points to end at 22.11 and Hellenic Petroleum SA (AT:HEPr) shed 1.45% or 0.110 points to 7.480.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 57 to 40 and 22 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.42% or 5.49 to $1313.41 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.69% or 0.32 to hit $46.12 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.50% or 0.26 to trade at $51.40 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.56% to 1.1905, while EUR/GBP fell 0.52% to 0.9217.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.51% at 92.74.
