Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Telecoms and Banking sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite added 0.11%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr), which rose 6.96% or 0.1600 points to trade at 2.4600 at the close. Select Textile (AT:EPIr) added 3.87% or 0.006 points to end at 0.160 and Terna Energy (AT:TENr) was up 3.73% or 0.160 points to 4.450 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Centric Hold (AT:DESr), which lost 6.35% or 0.008 points to trade at 0.118 in late trade. AS Company SA (AT:ASCr) declined 3.23% or 0.050 points to end at 1.500 and Iaso (AT:IASr) shed 2.95% or 0.028 points to 0.922.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 58 to 50 and 14 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.60% or 7.50 to $1239.40 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.45% or 0.26 to hit $57.73 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 0.42% or 0.27 to trade at $64.42 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.37% to 1.1725, while EUR/GBP fell 0.24% to 0.8800.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.23% at 94.16.
