Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Retail, Banking and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite rose 0.10%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Select Textile (AT:EPIr), which rose 8.73% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.249 at the close. Intralot (AT:INLr) added 7.55% or 0.080 points to end at 1.140 and Folli Follie (AT:HDFr) was up 4.64% or 0.84 points to 18.95 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr), which lost 4.37% or 0.026 points to trade at 0.572 in late trade. Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr) declined 3.89% or 0.070 points to end at 1.730 and Athens Water (AT:EYDr) shed 2.60% or 0.16 points to 6.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 49 to 41 and 12 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.12% or 1.59 to $1312.39 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.24% or 0.12 to hit $50.23 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.27% or 0.15 to trade at $55.33 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.19% to 1.1978, while EUR/GBP rose 0.03% to 0.8860.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 91.67.
