Launching an ambitious 2023 exploration program, Global Lithium Resources Ltd (ASX:GL1) is poised to begin 50,000 metres of drilling at the Manna Lithium Project, and a further 20,000 metres of drilling at the Marble Bar Lithium Project (MBLP).
GL1 is targeting large, high-grade lithium-bearing pegmatite extensions at the Manna deposit, and lithium targets on Corridor 2 at the MBLP.
The company has already completed LiDAR and high-resolution aerial photography, a close-spaced gravity survey, a project-wide versatile time domain electromagnetic (VTEM) survey and a multi-element soil sampling program at Manna, offering plenty of drill targeting data.
Productive systems; highly prospective
“The company is well placed to make further significant discoveries within its large tenement holding at both of its 100% owned lithium projects,” Global Lithium Resources general manager of geology Stuart Peterson said.
“The Manna Project has demonstrated to be a very productive system with the large 32.7-million-tonne at 1% lithium deposit that was proven up late last year.
“Importantly, Manna still shows plenty of scope to extend this deposit along strike with this year’s exploration program. The additional technical programs and surveys should provide further greenfields targets.
“The MBLP has a very large land holding and up to 20 kilometres of prospective strike length still to explore.
“I look forward to providing regular updates from the 2023 exploration programs across both projects throughout the year.”
Apart from the Corridor 2 targets at Marble Bar, GL1 will also conduct an induced polarisation (IP) survey over the Twin Veins target, which will be followed up with a reverse circulation (RC) drilling program testing gold, base metal, and chargeability targets identified in the IP survey.
