Frontier Energy Ltd (ASX:FHE, OTCQB:FRHYF) has delivered its very first Sustainability Report, which provides an understanding of the company’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) activities in 2022 when it was developing the Bristol Springs Renewable Energy Project.
Safe, reliable, clean energy
The report highlights Frontier’s commitment to deliver safe, reliable and sustainable clean energy solutions, and to create long-term sustainable value for future generations, in what was a very busy year for the company on these fronts.
During the reporting period, Frontier transitioned to a renewable energy company by acquiring the Bristol Springs Project.
It also strengthened board gender and cultural diversity with the appointment of Amanda Reid as a non-executive director and Sam Lee Mohan as managing director.
The company set up a sustainability committee, comprising Amanda Reid (chair), Dixie Marshal and Sam Lee Mohan and appointed Amy Sullivan to the role of sustainability manager.
Lowest-cost green hydrogen
Last but not least, Frontier completed a pre-feasibility study, demonstrating the project’s potential to be one of lowest-cost green hydrogen producers, and reported on its progress against the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Managing director Sam Lee Mohan summed it up thus: “At Frontier, we are committed to operating our business in a manner that prioritises the wellbeing of our people, communities, customers and the environment so that we not only thrive in the short term but also achieve long-term success.
“This report highlights the exceptional work undertaken by my colleagues from across the business, united in their commitment to drive the energy transition.”
