Forrestania Resources Ltd (ASX:FRS) has safely completed its maiden reverse circulation (RC) drill program at Ada Ann prospect within the Bonnie Vale Gold Project, near Coolgardie, in Western Australia’s prolific Eastern Goldfields.
All 21 planned RC holes were completed for 1,488 metres with the program designed to confirm historical high-grade intersections as well as to test the extent of mineralisation at depth and immediately along strike to the north and south.
Assisted with understanding
Forrestania Resources’ chairman John Hannaford said: "We are very pleased with the outcome of this first drilling program which has assisted with our understanding of the mineralisation at Ada Ann.
"The project has been identified as having significant potential to provide a near-surface satellite deposit to multiple operating mills in the region."
Samples have been submitted to ALS for assay with results anticipated to take 4 to 6 weeks.
Previous results
Previous high-grade intersections at Ada Ann include:
- 4 metres at 12.8 g/t gold from 25 metres;
- 16 metres at 2.6 g/t from 24 metres;
- 6 metres at 6.5 g/t from 16 metres; and
- 7 metres at 5 g/t from 4 metres.
The Bonnie Vale project covers about 75 square kilometres of predominantly greenstone terrain in proximity to the prolific Coolgardie gold hub and around 5 kilometres from Evolution Mining’s 5.9-million-ounce Mungari operations.
