Ford (NYSE:F) has introduced the F-150 Lightning Flash, a cutting-edge electric pickup truck with an extended-range battery and BlueCruise technology. The F-150 Lightning Flash is priced starting at $69,995 and will be open for online orders through Ford.com in early 2024.
In a press statement, Marin Gjaja, the Chief Operating Officer at Ford Model e, emphasized that the development of the F-150 Lightning Flash reflects the company's commitment to engaging with its customer base.
“The F-150 Lightning Flash is a direct outcome of engaging with and learning from our customers. This truck combines many of the technology-forward features our customers love in our EV lineup, at a more accessible price. With an EPA-estimated 320 miles of range, the Lightning Flash is another example of the speed at which we are adapting to grow our EV business,” Gjaja said.
Derived from the XLT trim level, the F-150 Lightning Flash incorporates numerous sought-after technological enhancements. In addition to its extended-range battery aiming for an EPA range of 320 miles and BlueCruise functionality, the Flash model will also come equipped with a 15.5-inch touchscreen, a premium B&O sound system featuring HD radio and eight speakers, and a wireless charging pad, among other features.
Shares of F are down 1.64% near end of day trading on Tuesday.
