Glen Diemar sat down with us in the Proactive studio recently to give us a little bit of an insight into … Glen Diemar.
Glen is the managing director of ASX small cap Australian Gold and Copper Ltd (ASX:AGC).
He is an early-stage discoveries-focused geologist, who held roles with BHP Billiton (LON:BHPB) in Indonesia and Kyrgyzstan, and was CEO of successful private explorer New South Resources PL.
He holds a Masters of Economic Geology and is a member of the AIG (NYSE:AIG).
With Australian Gold and Copper, he and the team are focused on the exploration and development of a multi-asset gold and gold-copper portfolio in the world-class Lachlan Fold Belt in New South Wales.
Just recently, the company confirmed it has a reverse circulation (RC) drill rig ready for its phase 1 drill program, which is expected to kick off in September at the high-priority Hilltop target within the South Cobar Project.
However, in this first ‘Get to know the CEO’ interview, we fire five questions at Glen to find out more about his successes, failures, who he is and some of the valuable life lessons he has learned across the journey.
What is one of the most valuable lessons you have learnt?
Why is it so important to fail?
What has been one of the most significant events of your life?
How much does focus play a part in success?
How do you enjoy your downtime?
