Australian stocks were buoyant today, gaining 41.30 points or 0.53% to 7,811.90.
The top-performing stocks were West African Resources Ltd and Goodman Group, up 4.82% and 4.04% respectively.
Over the last five days, the index has gained 1.85% and is currently 0.52% off its 52-week high.
Real Estate led the charge, up 1.76%, followed by Health Care (1.01%) and Energy (1.13%), while Consumer Discretionary was down by just 0.01% – the only sector in the red as the trading day drew to a close.
