Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology, Basic Materials and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.23%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were YIT Oyj (HEL:YTY1V), which rose 4.57% or 0.23 points to trade at 5.38 at the close. Meanwhile, Cargotec Oyj (HEL:CGCBV) added 2.84% or 0.69 points to end at 24.95 and Nokia Oyj (HEL:NOKIA) was up 2.57% or 0.150 points to 5.995 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V), which fell 3.12% or 0.0760 points to trade at 2.3600 at the close. Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HEL:NDA1V) declined 1.86% or 0.190 points to end at 10.030 and KONE Oyj (HEL:KNEBV) was down 1.73% or 0.59 points to 33.61.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 93 to 78 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V) fell to 3-years lows; falling 3.12% or 0.0760 to 2.3600.
Brent oil for November delivery was down 1.60% or 0.79 to $48.30 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 2.76% or 1.28 to hit $45.08 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.55% or 6.20 to trade at $1131.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.35% to 1.1167, while EUR/GBP rose 1.17% to 0.7324.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.05% at 96.45.
