Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Telecoms and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.18% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 2.71% or 0.60 points to trade at 22.77 at the close. Meanwhile, Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) added 1.83% or 0.155 points to end at 8.605 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELI1V) was up 1.75% or 0.57 points to 33.16 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which fell 1.37% or 0.085 points to trade at 6.115 at the close. Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) declined 1.31% or 0.39 points to end at 29.46 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) was down 1.20% or 0.40 points to 32.80.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 98 to 75 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in Elisa Oyj (HE:ELI1V) rose to 5-year highs; rising 1.75% or 0.57 to 33.16.
Brent oil for December delivery was down 0.24% or 0.12 to $48.49 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.37% or 0.17 to hit $46.11 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.36% or 4.20 to trade at $1177.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.21% to 1.1349, while EUR/GBP rose 0.26% to 0.7343.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.16% at 94.85.
