Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Financials, Industrials and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 1.58%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which rose 1.52% or 0.076 points to trade at 5.060 at the close. Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) fell 1.09% or 0.28 points to end at 25.38 and Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) was down 1.17% or 0.36 points to 30.28 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMAS), which lost 2.47% or 0.94 points to trade at 37.18 in late trade. Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) declined 2.47% or 0.92 points to end at 36.39 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) shed 2.41% or 0.180 points to 7.280.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 163 to 20 and 10 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was down 0.53% or 0.27 to $50.27 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.55% or 0.27 to hit $48.80 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.89% or 11.35 to trade at $1287.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.24% to 1.1279, while EUR/GBP rose 0.51% to 0.7933.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.17% at 94.47.
