Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Industrials and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 1.34%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which rose 3.07% or 1.17 points to trade at 39.24 at the close. UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM1V) added 1.28% or 0.27 points to end at 21.36 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) was up 1.25% or 0.16 points to 12.94 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which lost 7.61% or 0.356 points to trade at 4.324 in late trade. Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) declined 4.52% or 1.18 points to end at 24.95 and KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) shed 2.90% or 1.26 points to 42.14.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 121 to 54 and 19 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was up 1.70% or 0.85 to $50.83 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.63% or 0.80 to hit $49.98 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.18% or 2.25 to trade at $1268.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.16% to 1.0891, while EUR/GBP rose 0.48% to 0.8950.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.37% at 98.95.
