Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology, Consumer Goods and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 1.17%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 1.58% or 0.1100 points to trade at 7.0850 at the close. Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) added 0.46% or 0.16 points to end at 34.69 and Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) was down 0.11% or 0.05 points to 46.73 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which lost 2.75% or 0.185 points to trade at 6.535 in late trade. Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) declined 2.55% or 0.71 points to end at 27.14 and Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) shed 2.48% or 0.97 points to 38.09.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 96 to 40 and 16 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was up 1.74% or 0.80 to $46.84 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 1.71% or 0.74 to hit $44.12 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.06% or 0.75 to trade at $1247.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 1.19% to 1.1314, while EUR/GBP rose 0.68% to 0.8849.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.79% at 96.34.
