Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Technology, Telecoms and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.66%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 1.83% or 0.1100 points to trade at 6.1050 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) added 1.58% or 0.072 points to end at 4.618 and Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) was up 1.57% or 0.41 points to 26.58 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which lost 5.13% or 0.250 points to trade at 4.622 in late trade. Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) declined 1.64% or 0.67 points to end at 40.08 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) shed 1.47% or 0.47 points to 31.43.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 113 to 60 and 21 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was down 0.95% or 0.50 to $51.91 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 1.28% or 0.65 to hit $50.14 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.09% or 1.15 to trade at $1254.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.33% to 1.1017, while EUR/GBP fell 1.13% to 0.9015.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.20% at 97.92.
