Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.55%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which rose 1.41% or 0.80 points to trade at 57.60 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 1.22% or 0.0850 points to end at 7.0400 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) was up 1.12% or 0.65 points to 58.80 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS), which lost 2.27% or 0.52 points to trade at 22.41 in late trade. Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) declined 2.05% or 0.73 points to end at 34.80 and UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) shed 1.95% or 0.50 points to 25.10.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 63 to 61 and 24 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was up 1.72% or 0.77 to $45.59 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 1.48% or 0.63 to hit $43.16 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.54% or 6.74 to trade at $1252.54 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.13% to 1.1153, while EUR/GBP fell 0.11% to 0.8803.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 97.25.
