Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Utilities, Telecoms and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 2.19% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 0.09% or 0.006 points to trade at 7.018 at the close. Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) fell 0.50% or 0.022 points to end at 4.397 and Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) was down 0.64% or 0.18 points to 27.98 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1), which lost 3.44% or 0.134 points to trade at 3.761 in late trade. Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) declined 3.41% or 0.60 points to end at 16.99 and KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) shed 3.39% or 1.57 points to 44.68.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 148 to 9 and 2 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for April delivery was down 0.59% or 0.40 to $67.22 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.28% or 0.18 to hit $63.97 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.43% or 5.80 to trade at $1330.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.15% to 1.2387, while EUR/GBP rose 0.16% to 0.8873.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 89.49.
