Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 1.17% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM), which rose 0.78% or 0.16 points to trade at 20.60 at the close. Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) added 0.40% or 0.16 points to end at 39.83 and Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) was up 0.31% or 0.16 points to 52.56 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which lost 4.95% or 0.2640 points to trade at 5.0640 in late trade. YIT Oyj (HE:YIT) declined 4.45% or 0.23 points to end at 4.88 and Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) shed 2.73% or 0.265 points to 9.425.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 108 to 38 and 15 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was down 1.75% or 1.39 to $77.84 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.09% or 0.07 to hit $74.22 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.83% or 10.40 to trade at $1244.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.65% to 1.1608, while EUR/GBP fell 0.09% to 0.8841.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.58% at 94.78.
