Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Financials and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 1.13%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which rose 2.86% or 0.135 points to trade at 4.850 at the close. YIT Oyj (HE:YIT) added 1.75% or 0.10 points to end at 5.51 and Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) was up 0.34% or 0.24 points to 71.66 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA), which lost 7.48% or 2.78 points to trade at 34.41 in late trade. DNA Oyj (HE:DNAO) declined 4.43% or 0.8800 points to end at 18.9700 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) shed 3.15% or 1.16 points to 35.66.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 93 to 52 and 18 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was down 0.54% or 0.43 to $79.62 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.75% or 0.52 to hit $69.23 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.33% or 4.10 to trade at $1231.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.21% to 1.1478, while EUR/GBP rose 0.23% to 0.8790.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 95.53.
