Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Healthcare and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 1.02%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO), which rose 2.06% or 0.85 points to trade at 42.16 at the close. Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) added 1.87% or 0.96 points to end at 52.32 and Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) was up 1.18% or 1.00 points to 85.46 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which lost 12.78% or 0.5130 points to trade at 3.5020 in late trade. Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) declined 4.28% or 0.62 points to end at 13.97 and Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) shed 4.17% or 1.30 points to 29.91.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 92 to 53 and 18 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for April delivery was down 2.73% or 1.71 to $60.98 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 3.46% or 1.87 to hit $52.14 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.05% or 0.65 to trade at $1315.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.03% to 1.1357, while EUR/GBP fell 0.31% to 0.8754.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 96.232.
