Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Financials and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.97% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS), which rose 5.19% or 1.21 points to trade at 24.52 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 1.54% or 0.0960 points to end at 6.3360 and Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) was up 1.19% or 0.68 points to 57.76 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA), which lost 5.44% or 2.04 points to trade at 35.43 in late trade. Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) declined 3.02% or 0.400 points to end at 12.850 and UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) shed 2.70% or 0.72 points to 25.96.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 92 to 46 and 15 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for April delivery was down 2.84% or 1.84 to $62.97 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 3.09% or 1.89 to hit $59.26 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.02% or 0.20 to trade at $1318.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.25% to 1.2216, while EUR/GBP rose 0.76% to 0.8869.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 90.41.
