Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Consumer Goods and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.96%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were YIT Oyj (HE:YIT), which rose 3.46% or 0.22 points to trade at 6.73 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) added 3.34% or 0.230 points to end at 7.106 and Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) was up 1.96% or 0.34 points to 17.70 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V), which lost 7.01% or 2.87 points to trade at 38.08 in late trade. Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) declined 6.36% or 3.16 points to end at 46.49 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) shed 3.50% or 0.2400 points to 6.6140.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 98 to 40 and 16 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for April delivery was down 1.65% or 1.15 to $68.50 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 1.00% or 0.66 to hit $65.14 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.73% or 9.90 to trade at $1338.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.41% to 1.2463, while EUR/GBP rose 0.38% to 0.8803.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.54% at 88.96.
