Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Technology and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.90%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS), which rose 2.47% or 0.69 points to trade at 28.59 at the close. Valmt (HE:VALMT) added 1.18% or 0.22 points to end at 18.85 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) was up 0.43% or 0.13 points to 30.05 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which lost 10.73% or 0.945 points to trade at 7.860 in late trade. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) declined 2.74% or 0.194 points to end at 6.880 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) shed 2.17% or 0.1240 points to 5.5880.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 87 to 52 and 19 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was up 1.37% or 0.99 to $73.38 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 1.98% or 1.34 to hit $69.00 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.37% or 4.50 to trade at $1223.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.38% to 1.1616, while EUR/GBP rose 0.28% to 0.8908.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.35% at 94.79.
