Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Utilities, Industrials and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.72%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were DNA Oyj (HE:DNAO), which rose 0.27% or 0.0500 points to trade at 18.3300 at the close. Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V) added 0.27% or 0.025 points to end at 9.275 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) was up 0.06% or 0.02 points to 31.67 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which lost 2.91% or 0.194 points to trade at 6.480 in late trade. Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) declined 2.36% or 0.86 points to end at 35.55 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) shed 1.68% or 0.31 points to 18.19.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 74 to 64 and 22 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was down 0.29% or 0.23 to $77.79 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.48% or 0.34 to hit $69.91 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.02% or 0.30 to trade at $1204.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.68% to 1.1588, while EUR/GBP fell 0.22% to 0.8947.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.54% at 95.15.
