Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Industrials and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.61%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which rose 4.09% or 1.07 points to trade at 27.22 at the close. Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V) added 2.37% or 0.200 points to end at 8.630 and YIT Oyj (HE:YIT) was up 2.18% or 0.11 points to 5.17 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V), which lost 5.27% or 0.94 points to trade at 16.81 in late trade. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 4.48% or 0.2440 points to end at 5.2000 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) shed 3.85% or 1.68 points to 41.94.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 78 to 60 and 21 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was down 0.55% or 0.40 to $72.50 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.25% or 0.17 to hit $67.92 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.89% or 10.90 to trade at $1217.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.27% to 1.1607, while EUR/GBP rose 0.35% to 0.8937.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.41% at 95.23.
