Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Utilities, Industrials and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.59%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which rose 0.28% or 0.040 points to trade at 14.575 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 0.24% or 0.0160 points to end at 6.6600 and Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) was down 0.10% or 0.05 points to 47.77 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Valmt (HE:VALMT), which lost 1.79% or 0.32 points to trade at 17.59 in late trade. Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) declined 1.31% or 0.24 points to end at 18.05 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) shed 1.15% or 0.44 points to 37.77.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 93 to 46 and 16 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for May delivery was down 1.44% or 0.96 to $65.56 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 1.13% or 0.71 to hit $62.30 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.20% or 2.60 to trade at $1321.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.19% to 1.2210, while EUR/GBP rose 0.74% to 0.8860.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 90.50.
