Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Telecoms and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.53%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM), which rose 2.25% or 0.45 points to trade at 20.47 at the close. Tieto Oyj (HE:TIETO) added 1.44% or 0.40 points to end at 28.22 and KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) was up 0.86% or 0.37 points to 43.33 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which lost 3.29% or 0.226 points to trade at 6.638 in late trade. Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) declined 2.84% or 0.91 points to end at 31.16 and Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) shed 2.72% or 0.109 points to 3.903.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 77 to 58 and 20 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was down 0.10% or 0.08 to $77.38 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.98% or 0.71 to hit $73.47 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.37% or 4.70 to trade at $1251.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.20% to 1.1576, while EUR/GBP rose 0.40% to 0.8845.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 94.93.
