Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.30%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 1.98% or 0.1500 points to trade at 7.7400 at the close. Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) added 1.67% or 0.51 points to end at 31.08 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was up 1.50% or 0.105 points to 7.100 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which lost 1.30% or 0.70 points to trade at 53.35 in late trade. UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) declined 1.22% or 0.32 points to end at 25.91 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) shed 1.20% or 0.20 points to 16.44.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 102 to 50 and 7 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for March delivery was up 1.09% or 0.72 to $66.88 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.92% or 0.55 to hit $60.39 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.76% or 9.80 to trade at $1307.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.68% to 1.2023, while EUR/GBP fell 0.04% to 0.8885.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.56% at 91.82.
