Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Basic Materials and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.24%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were YIT Oyj (HE:YIT), which rose 2.17% or 0.12 points to trade at 5.64 at the close. Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) added 2.16% or 0.40 points to end at 18.64 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) was up 0.68% or 0.032 points to 4.732 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS), which lost 5.61% or 1.63 points to trade at 27.41 in late trade. Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) declined 3.60% or 0.330 points to end at 8.825 and Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) shed 2.04% or 0.65 points to 31.27.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 87 to 60 and 17 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was up 1.10% or 0.82 to $75.58 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 2.02% or 1.39 to hit $70.08 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.15% or 1.80 to trade at $1221.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.47% to 1.1713, while EUR/GBP rose 0.26% to 0.8918.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.40% at 94.09.
