Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Industrials, Basic Materials and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.20%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM), which rose 2.48% or 0.40 points to trade at 16.52 at the close. Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) added 1.87% or 0.69 points to end at 37.60 and Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) was up 0.40% or 0.12 points to 30.45 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V), which lost 1.59% or 0.95 points to trade at 58.75 in late trade. Valmt (HE:VALMT) declined 1.26% or 0.21 points to end at 16.42 and KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) shed 1.22% or 0.57 points to 46.11.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 87 to 44 and 22 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was up 2.64% or 1.49 to $57.91 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 2.27% or 1.15 to hit $51.81 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.07% or 13.92 to trade at $1311.42 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.95% to 1.1843, while EUR/GBP fell 0.45% to 0.8808.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.58% at 92.48.
