Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Telecoms and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.20%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 1.62% or 1.06 points to trade at 66.66 at the close. Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V) added 1.53% or 0.130 points to end at 8.620 and Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) was up 0.92% or 0.18 points to 19.73 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V), which lost 6.29% or 2.12 points to trade at 31.57 in late trade. Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) declined 3.33% or 0.86 points to end at 25.00 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) shed 0.96% or 0.078 points to 8.012.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 71 to 64 and 22 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was up 3.15% or 2.36 to $77.21 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 3.17% or 2.19 to hit $71.25 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.11% or 1.40 to trade at $1312.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.14% to 1.1848, while EUR/GBP fell 0.24% to 0.8740.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 92.92.
