Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Oil & Gas and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM), which rose 1.36% or 0.44 points to trade at 32.90 at the close. Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) added 0.75% or 0.23 points to end at 30.75 and Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V) was up 0.71% or 0.065 points to 9.225 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which lost 2.10% or 0.1120 points to trade at 5.2320 in late trade. Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) declined 1.46% or 0.55 points to end at 37.00 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) shed 1.27% or 0.24 points to 18.71.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 70 to 69 and 24 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was up 0.98% or 0.75 to $77.04 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.01% or 0.69 to hit $69.22 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.26% or 3.20 to trade at $1211.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.03% to 1.1699, while EUR/GBP fell 0.86% to 0.9008.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 94.56.
