Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Consumer Services and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.02%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 1.83% or 0.120 points to trade at 6.674 at the close. Valmt (HE:VALMT) added 1.18% or 0.22 points to end at 18.93 and UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) was up 1.06% or 0.35 points to 33.25 in late trade.
Biggest losers included DNA Oyj (HE:DNAO), which lost 1.77% or 0.3300 points to trade at 18.2800 in late trade. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 1.68% or 0.0880 points to end at 5.1440 and Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) shed 1.23% or 0.048 points to 3.848.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 88 to 53 and 18 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was up 0.41% or 0.32 to $77.78 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.55% or 0.38 to hit $69.89 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.64% or 7.80 to trade at $1203.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.43% to 1.1657, while EUR/GBP fell 0.28% to 0.8963.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.29% at 94.73.
