Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financials, Technology and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.87%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 3.54% or 0.142 points to trade at 4.152 at the close. Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) added 3.18% or 0.87 points to end at 28.27 and YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) was up 2.92% or 0.17 points to 6.17 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA), which lost 0.12% or 0.04 points to trade at 32.33 in late trade. Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) declined 0.10% or 0.04 points to end at 38.52 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) gained 0.03% or 0.01 points to 38.34.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 120 to 62 and 17 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was up 1.10% or 0.54 to $49.70 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.82% or 0.39 to hit $47.80 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.00% or 0.05 to trade at $1343.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.13% to 1.1305, while EUR/GBP fell 0.50% to 0.8576.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.01% at 94.51.
