Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Consumer Goods and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.49%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 1.43% or 0.080 points to trade at 5.675 at the close. Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) added 1.38% or 0.53 points to end at 38.93 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) was up 1.23% or 0.060 points to 4.946 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which lost 2.29% or 0.86 points to trade at 36.64 in late trade. Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) declined 2.21% or 0.084 points to end at 3.716 and Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) shed 0.92% or 0.26 points to 27.94.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 85 to 47 and 21 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for June delivery was up 1.05% or 0.57 to $54.93 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 1.13% or 0.58 to hit $51.73 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.48% or 5.95 to trade at $1254.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.11% to 1.0652, while EUR/GBP fell 0.07% to 0.8536.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 100.55.
