Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Consumer Goods and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.46% to hit a new 6-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM1V), which rose 3.58% or 0.64 points to trade at 18.54 at the close. Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) added 2.70% or 0.67 points to end at 25.53 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) was up 2.37% or 0.1100 points to 4.7600 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which lost 1.60% or 0.080 points to trade at 4.920 in late trade. Valmt (HE:VALMT) declined 1.54% or 0.19 points to end at 12.13 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) shed 0.85% or 0.045 points to 5.240.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 96 to 73 and 23 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was up 0.02% or 0.01 to $44.92 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.02% or 0.44 to hit $42.69 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.04% or 0.50 to trade at $1327.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.04% to 1.0989, while EUR/GBP fell 0.05% to 0.8367.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.11% at 97.17.
