Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology, Consumer Goods and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.44%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Metso Oyj (HE:METSO), which rose 3.26% or 0.90 points to trade at 28.54 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) added 3.26% or 0.175 points to end at 5.550 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) was up 2.98% or 1.42 points to 49.15 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which lost 5.49% or 1.81 points to trade at 31.15 in late trade. YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) declined 2.13% or 0.14 points to end at 6.67 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) shed 1.57% or 0.155 points to 9.740.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 74 to 65 and 13 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for April delivery was down 1.54% or 0.86 to $54.86 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 1.94% or 1.03 to hit $51.98 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.39% or 4.85 to trade at $1236.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.42% to 1.0703, while EUR/GBP fell 0.67% to 0.8562.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.35% at 100.19.
