Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Consumer Goods and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.34%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS), which rose 7.16% or 1.58 points to trade at 23.64 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 3.75% or 0.2600 points to end at 7.1900 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) was up 3.10% or 0.165 points to 5.485 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which lost 11.27% or 0.675 points to trade at 5.315 in late trade. Valmt (HE:VALMT) declined 6.39% or 1.14 points to end at 16.69 and Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) shed 3.06% or 1.19 points to 37.76.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 80 to 55 and 16 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was up 1.20% or 0.61 to $51.58 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.86% or 0.42 to hit $49.17 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.59% or 7.34 to trade at $1256.74 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.69% to 1.1654, while EUR/GBP fell 0.26% to 0.8922.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.66% at 93.91.
